Example One - Feature Overview

Preparation

This small tutorial shows the basic functionality of wcp by archiving wcp's source directory. The "server space" will be the directory $HOME/zz-backup/wcp on your workstation.

It requires no special setup on your computer, only two things have to be done, first install wcp and wcpd with

# make install

and then create the backup base directory ~/zz-backup/wcp

# mkdir -p ~/zz-backup/wcp

Now you can start creating your very first archive.
